As a person of color, how I view my body is complex, stemming from misrepresentation, part of which are embedded in the media we consume daily and social expectations.
My work is driven by studying the conditions of the body, integrating it through movement, visual culture and history representing people of color.
I work across different mediums such as audio, videography, and photography that explore a cycle of learning and reflecting on the concept of our identity. Through interviews I fully get to know the person I am working with and photographing, which ultimately is a rendition of my work.
